Meet Our Founder Peter Phelps

Peter Phelps, outdoor enthusiast and founder of Outdoor Living in Western North Carolina, can trace the roots of his journey to 1980 when he began working in Tampa’s leisure industry. After moving to Asheville 4 years later and launching a hot tub business in 1988, Peter expanded offerings with swimming pools by 1992 . Now 2021 marked yet another milestone for him when he introduced Outdoor Living at the popular Asheville Outlets! Representing an extension from Water Works but without offering swimming pool services, customers get access to high-end grills, hot tubs, swim spas + other luxuries like outdoor furniture & kitchens.
